Baby Bjorn Carrier One Review.

Product: Carrier One.

Price: £160.

Size: H58 x W160 x 1cm; 1kg.

Design and Style.

The carrier one is truly one of the best in the market. Suitable from birth up to 15kg which is around 3 years, but it does depend on your baby as well.

This means right from the beginning you can use the Carrier One when you are going out. Taking the stroller all the time might not be the best option for you.

You can buy a cheaper stroller and an easier stroller to use if you have this one. Weighing only 1kg and the dimensions makes it easy to store.

A so-called excellent carrying comfort. The waist belt is also designed in a way to relieve pressure from your back when carrying your little one, and it has an ergonomic position to make things better.

The adjustable head support is integrated with the carrier. This is there to provide support for your little one’s head and neck. When not in use you fold it and tuck it away.

Mostly for when your child is older. It can be folded downwards and upwards, in whichever way suits your baby.

According to the manufacturers, the Baby Bjorn Carrier One is hip-friendly, which means it has been tested by experts who approve of it.

This means your baby’s hip and spine is good and won’t be harmed. The carrier also helps to develop your little one’s hips.

Cotten blend is used for the production of this product. This means it offers softness and flexibility for your little munchkin.

Eco-friendly materials make the carrier even better. It has three colours and these are Black, Grey and Leopard. Easy matchable with many strollers.

When dirty you can use the washing machine to wash it which is great. You will have it clean and ready every time you are going out.

Carrier One 4 Positions.

It offers all 4 positions. Which are front-facing – inwards, front-facing – outwards, Side facing and back facing. The minimum age for the outward front-facing is 5 months and a maximum of 12kg.

Manufacturers recommend for parents to use leg straps to tighten the legs for children who are between 3.5 to 4.5kg. The Baby Bjorn Carrier One has two height positions.

The upper height position is for newborns up to 3.5kg because it should be closer to you and your baby should face you. The carrier is positioned right if you can touch your baby’s head with your chin.

The leg positions are ergonomic to help with your baby’s hips. It has a so-called M-position.

Carrier One is designed in a way that makes it easy for you to switch and carry your baby on the sides or your back. Baby Bjorn recommend for you to carry your baby on your back when they are 12 months.

At that time they are heavier and your back is much stronger, and your baby at this age is comfortable in their movements as well.

So it’s safer too.

Cons.

  • Expensive carrier compared to many out there.
  • It’s a bit bulky, so storing it in some very tiny places might not work out.
  • Some parts and adjustments take time to learn and master.
  • No accessories such as sunshade, pockets, pouch, etc are included.
  • Only three colours are available.
  • The ability to breastfeed while your baby is on it is not available.
  • Not available for 4-year-olds.

Baby Bjorn Carrier One vs Carrier Air.

Both carriers are made of the same features, but the main difference is the material. Carrier One has a cotton blend that is flexible and soft, but the latter has 3D mesh.

3D mesh is good for those who live in hot climates and when it’s summer. It provides more ventilation for your little one when the weather is really hot.

This does make Carrier Air better in this regard, but equal in other features. The colours are also different for the Air baby carrier.

For being newer it’s more expensive.

The fabrics and materials are thinner which makes Carrier Air less bulky and easier to carry and store. You also have a higher headrest than the Carrier One.

To save the environment Carrier Air uses less padding and fabrics. Carrier One would be better for the winter because it’s stuffed with more fabrics making it warm for your infant.

These are the only differences, which is not that much. If you can afford the Carrier Air is good to go for it.

Conclusion.

Do you know that Carrier One has an almost unique feature compared to most carriers? You can swiftly carry your baby to the back from the front on your own and without any help from your partner.

This means your use the carrier anytime and change to any position when are out alone. This makes it convenient and suitable for many single parents as well.

Although, its pricey is does come with many features carriers are designed with. Add some minor accessories and you are good to go.

Which of the above carriers would you be buying? I will still recommend the Carrier One because it is still one of the best baby carriers in the market.

Ergobaby Omni 360 Baby Carrier Review.

Product: Omni 360.

Price: £164.90.

Dimensions: 17 x 17 x 27 cm; 1 Kg.

Design and Style.

If you are a hiker or love to take long strolls you will love the Omni 360 baby carrier. It has soo many features and the fabrics and material are some of the best in the market.

Suitable from week 1 up to 20kg which is around 4 years. It depends upon your toddler. This means right from the beginning you use the Omni 360 if you don’t want to take the stroller out.

Omni 360 carrier had many fabrics to keep baby warm during winter and to keep your baby secure and safe, which makes it a bit stuffed but it has ventilation and is lightweight according to manufacturers.

Weighing 1 kg and the dimensions don’t take that much space.

An ergonomic position with all 4 positions. It has the so-called M position which is a good position for your baby’s spine and hips.

Going into the 4 positions in detail down below. So-called lumbar support to help your back when you are carrying your baby.

Omni 360 also can be used for breastfeeding. It’s a good feature for those parents who love breastfeeding. Protection for your baby and toddler has been installed and it’s the UPF50+ hood.

It also has crossable straps to make things easier.

It comes in many colours which are: Chambray, Oxford Gray, Khaki Green, Midnight Blue, Pearl Grey, Onyx Black, Carbon Grey, Indigi Weave, Classic Weave, Natural Weave and Black Tweed.

As you can see there are many colours, many of these matches many strollers. A detachable pouch comes with the baby carrier.

This can be used for your baby’s things and even yours. For cleaning, you can use a washing machine or wipe it.

Omni 360 4 Positions.

You have the front carry – parent facing which is for newborns up to your baby grows out of it. The second would be the front carry-facing out. It is used from 5 months+

The third would be from 6 months+ which is the hip carry. The fourth is the back carry which is also from 6 months+.

You have different straps that need to be adjusted for these positions and Ergobaby has videos showing how all of these are used. View these videos with the purchase links.

Ergobaby Omni 360 have 264 reviews by parents and many of these are high scores, which shows you the Omni 360 is good.

Omni 360 comes all organised which means you only need to take it out and adjust it depending upon what you will use. So, this is a positive thing, because some carriers come with all parts detached.

Cons.

  • It is made for breastfeeding mums, but according to one mum, it’s not easy to use it and breastfeed. The position is a bit difficult and on your own, it’s harder. This can be an individual thing, but it might affect you as well.
  • Another parent also reported that it can be a bit hard to adjust the straps when a child is an own board. You will need help from another partner.
  • Omni 360 is quite expensive because the cheapest ones are around 50 pounds. Not that affordable by many.
  • Not available in all colours. Most dark colours.
  • Thick fabrics can cause warmth during summer.

Omni 360 vs 360.

The 360 baby carrier was the model that was made before the Omni 360. Comparing the two there are not that many differences.

The design and style are a bit different. Omni 360 has wider and thicker shoulder fabrics and the fabrics, in general, are thinner.

360 does not have a detachable pouch and the Omni 360 also has more parts on the carrier. The colours are a few with the 360. It has Carbon Grey, Onyx Black, Pearl Grey, Pure Black, Chambray and Star Dust.

360 baby carrier was not suitable for babies, so you have to insert a newborn infant insert in it to use it. Which is from 0 to 4 months. (3.2 – 5.5kg)

Of course, the price is different as well. 360 cost about 116 pounds, which is still expensive compare to some baby carriers.

The improvement makes life easier, but there are not many differences. Omni 360 is of course better but the detachable pouch makes it more expensive.

It’s just tiny changes, so the Ergobaby 360 is still good.

Conclusion.

Ergobaby Omni 360 baby carrier is a good carrier that would be suitable for many lifestyles, especially for those people who love long strolls and hiking.

It’s a bit pricey, but the Omni 360 has many features and accessories to help you and your little one. It can be used and carry not only your baby but also personal things.

Your baby is nearer to you and you have access to breastfeeding, you can use different positions to have your baby near and it’s suitable from birth up to 4 years.

Some carriers do not have all of these benefits, so the Ergobaby Omni 360 it’s worth the price it has according to many parents.

It also has many positive reviews, which is a positive sign.

What are your thoughts? Do you think the Omn 360 is the carrier you are looking for?

About Me.

Hello there parents or guardians. Welcome to my newbornbabycarrier.com site. This will briefly be about me and why I decided to start this blog. I do hope the information will help you understand my site better.

Why Baby Carriers/Slings.

I am a mother and I have an interest in blogging which I have been doing for 19+ months now. I started blogging about baby strollers on this site: toppushchairs.com.

The site is there to help parents or guardians learn about strollers and which ones to buy. I am still on it and the site has attracted a lot of visitors.

Of course, being familiar with strollers is the reason why I chose to focus on baby carriages. Wanting to help in another field made me choose baby carriers.

I have used baby carriers before with my older daughter so I am used to it, and it’s not that many blogs that focus only on carriers/slings.

Having experience with it and the lack of sites or blogs on baby slings made it more interested.

Newbornbabycarrier.com is Here to Help Parents/Guardians.

Every parent you know uses strollers, but what about baby carriers? It’s not that used. I know a few parents who use it and it’s only for a short while.

Baby carriers/slings can actually replace strollers in many situations. When you have children of different ages. Instead of buying a second buggy, you use it. Plus it’s cheaper.

So, I want to help parents discover baby carriers and know the available ones. Have information on many carriers and how they can help you out.

Carriers have different price tags, whether you want cheap ones or expensive ones newbornbabycarrier.com is here to help you decide.

The Exact Reasons Why Newbornbabycarrier.com Was Created.

So, the reasons this site was created is mentioned above, and to help parents I decided to focus on reviews, comparisons and answer questions that are asked on the net.

Reviews and comparisons are for parents who are already familiar with baby carriers and want information about the products. It’s also there to make parents aware of the latest carriers/slings.

Help them decide to buy which suits their lifestyle. Answering the questions asked on the net will help parents gather more information about baby carriers.

I will do this through research and also through my own experience. Newbornbabycarrier.com will only focus on this which makes the site simple and easy to use.

Not complicated to use for anyone.  Now and then I will post lists on baby slings I think will suit certain lifestyles. For example, “Top 10 best toddler carriers”

This will narrow down your search and help you buy exactly what you need. I do hope with the information I provide you will be satisfied.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best,

Fatoumata.
